This book was apparently part of the USS Escape's shipboard library. The USS Escape was a naval rescue and salvage ship (ARS6). It saw service in WWII, mainly with operations out of Bermuda. This November 20th will be the 75th anniversary of th...e Escape's commission by the Navy. It was commissioned in 1943. During the 1950's and 60's it saw service in Puerto Rico. In the 1970's it became a Coast Guard ship. The Escape was finally scraped in 2009.
