Original Description:
Walter Bosse first started producing his collectible figures in the late 1940s, starting with pottery and moving into brass. He used a unique method of acid-etched patina on polished brass; the patina is polished off to reveal shiny brass beneath. 
Great example of a Walter Bosse brass cast corkscrew. This modernist dachshund from the 50s is in great condition with good patina. Sturdy steel worm, made to be used! Unmarked. Last two images show the corkscrew in a Herta Baller ca...talog from the 50s and Bosse's sketchbook.
