Here is a very stylish early 20th century pewter dish with a design by Archibald Knox. This design is an excellent example of Knox's influential style, combining elements of the Arts and Crafts Movement, Art Nouveau and Celtic motifs. It has registration number marks stamped to the reverse and a couple of other marks which are worn on the surface. Please zoom in to the photos to see the marks. This Knox design was originally retailed at Liberty & Co but these marks do not look like... Liberty & Co/English Pewter marks. It is hard to say who the manufacturer is because the marks are rubbed.
It is in excellent condition and measures 8.8" inches by 4.8" inches.
Please note that the other piece of Archibald Knox shown in one of the photos is for styling purposes only and is not included in the sale.
