Kewpie plates featured designs by Rose O’Neill and were introduced beginning in 1914. This one is marked on the back Rose o’neill//Kewpie//Germany, which probably dates it right at 1914 since, once World War I broke out, American companies took over production. The 8&1/8” diameter plate features four frolickingKewpies, seemingly unaware of the three fairy Kewpies flying amidst the moon and stars above them. There is a gold trimmed edge and a small hole... for hanging on the back. The plate is in good condition from a smoke-free home. There is a 1&1/4” hairline to the left of the soldier Kewpie fairy. It is visible but cannot be felt. The plate stand is not included. I also have bisque Kewpie dolls and figurines currently listed on eBay. Please check my other listings. I am happy to combine shipping for items purchased in the same eBay cart. This Kewpie plate will be shipped within one business days PayPal payment. Texas residents add 8.25% sales tax. International packages will be marked as merchandise (not gift) with the actual sale price. Thank you for looking.
