This listing is for a fully functional vintage BATTERY OPERATED HOLE-IN-ONE TOY BANK w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in MINT condition. Colors are clear & bright. Litho, tin, plastic parts & green turf are perfect. Both original Hole-In-One savings bank coins, original instructions and box inserts are included. To operate, just place a coin flat on the metal pad, contact is made, the golfer then raises his golf club, swings down appearing to hit golf ball-...--bang, the coin is shot into the slot striking a metal buoy causing the flag to wave. Every golfer should have one on their desk. Very cool. Works great. Absolutely no corrosion or rust anywhere. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 92. It is a 1960's era toy made by the Shields Co. Fifth Avenue, New York, an upper class gift shop. It has a rarity of 2 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $150.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is in very good, solid condition. This would make a nice addition to any discriminating collector of B.O. toys or mechanical coin banks. Displays very, very well.
