Vintage 1963 Tissot Seastar Seven Mechanical Watch - Blue Dial

Presented for your consideration is an extremely wearable 1963 Tissot Seastar Seven. Let's start with the obvious - this dial has been refinished, with Mercedes hands serving as a replacement. What is fortunate however, is that it was well-done, and in my opinion complements the vintage-style leather strap (hand-made in the UK) rather nicely. It puts a modern spin on what would otherwise be an unobtrusive watch. The 34mm case is relatively thin, with 18mm lugs holding the aforementione...d strap in place.
Mechanically this piece is in great shape, losing roughly two minutes a day as per the timegrapher. I would consider that pretty respectable for a 54 year old watch without a documented service history!
The caseback and crown seem to be original, which is a pleasant surprise. With Tissot's history of quality, this is a great opportunity to own a classic piece at a reasonable price. Provided you like a more modernly colored dial!
