Vintage McMurdo Silver Model 701 " Atom - X " Transmitter Project 80 - 6 M

This auction is for a vintage McMurdo Silver Model 701 "Atom-X" Transmitter that was introduced in about 1947. The company lasted just a few years so these are very rare. There's some interesting history on the man McMurdo Silver on the web. This can be used on 80 to 6 meters CW (75 watts input) and AM phone (30 watts input).
This transmitter appears to be complete except for the coils. I'm including six 5-prong coils from a McMurdo Silver wave-meter which you can rewind for the th...ree coils required for each band. The Tritet oscillator cathode and plate coils are just a single winding so they are easy to build, the PA tank is a single winding with a link so it's also easy to wind.
The transmitter is in "good" condition. The case is painted the wrong color and is missing a tab for the lower left panel screw. The good news is that many McMurdo products (e.g. SWR meter) used the exact same cabinet and are fairly common.
