This auction is for a vintage 1940s snapshot photo captioned Florence Ariz P.O.W. Camp and Dad & Russ Anderson 1945. Along with the two men, a giant cactus can be seen with a building and a partial RECREATIONAL BUILDING sign. Whole photo measures approx. 3-1/8” x 5-1/8” with the actual image less due to the white margin.
Please read this description and review the close-up scans carefully. This photo was found in a box of miscellaneous photos from the late 1940s and 1950...s which had previously been removed from a photo album. Photo has edge and corner wear including small corner creases. Photo surface has some scuffing/scratching, dirty smudges, and is not smooth due to handling. Back side has extensive black album paper remnants, along with some glue spots and worn spots. Bits of the black paper can be seen along the edge when viewed from the front. The caption is written in pen in the front margins. NO weird or musty odors. The yellow background and the red “moonchildbooks” blurb do not appear on the actual photo.
