Clean Vintage Stanley No. 6 Smooth Bottom Plane—2 Patent Dates—Sweetheart Blade—from the estate of a retiring woodworker—some parts or possibly the entire plane may have been restored by him at some point in time—fair overall condition—as found—front knob/handle has a few hairline cracks—rear handle/tote is in good shape, with some light nicks, scratches & scuff marks —blade, chip breaker, lever cap, sides of the body, and sole are all fairly clean—sole has some lig...ht pitting, more concentrated towards the front/ toe end—frog has some light to moderate pitting, concentrated on the upper right corner —black upper side of the body may have been refinished —blade is marked:Stanley SW Made In USA—adjusting lever is marked: Stanley PAT. 7 24 88—body has 2 patent dates:MAR 25 02AUG 19 02 A nice vintage Stanley plane that would make a welcome addition to any collection.
