Up for bid is a folded letter that is over 175 years old and in very good condition (only one tear). There is a blue Willimantic CT post mark. The letter is addressed to Mr. John B. Greenslitt at Hampton CT. The letter is from Lloyd Baldwin who must be a judge of some kind and dated June 26, 1843 (post mark is June 27). Mr. Baldwin tells Mr. Greenslitt that he has set July 11, 1843 for the hearing to determine his fine. The hearing will be at the Hotel of ...N. Potter at 5 p.m.
