The Space Patrol Comic Book was produced in 1952 by Ziff Davis Comics as a Tie-In to the Ground-Breaking 1950s SCI-Fi TV Series. This page would have been used as part of a presentation pitch to sell the comic as a syndicated series to newspapers.
SPACE PATROL was Written and produced by MIKE MOSER Who died tragically in a car accident in 1953 halting prod...uction on the T.V. series and the comic book. Only 2 issues were published - Both are considered highly collectible, selling for over $1, 000 in recent auctions.
This is a gorgeous example of the early Sci-Fi comic art and story telling that would inspire so many of today's contemporary artists and pop culture figures. The style is idiomatic to the early 1950s, but feels completely contemporary due to the lasting influence of this type of work.
This would be a treasure for any collector of Vintage Comics, Science Fiction Memorabilia or Pop Art. Perfect for framing as a stand alone art piece.
