I do not know the age. From looking at it and handling it, I would estimate mid-century. I had been wanting one of these forever but could not find one. I bought this at an undifferentiated auction (not an Indian Arts auction) as part of a 'miscellaneous Indian items' lot. 9 2.5" conchas around belt; 12 graduated conchas from 2 to 1/2" on the drop. Drop is 28". Belt portion 41", to fit a waist as large as 40", with holes to ad...just to about 37.5.
One of the waist conchas (picture 4) appeared cracked and had some blue corrosion. But the crack, if that is what it is does not go all the way through, and the blue corrosion came off when I wiped with oil. It is still discolored (a dark copper -old penny color) (picture 5). I will not try polishing it, which would be a next step if it bothered me.
