You are considering an awesome very high quality ICE BUCKET that wasmade to look very much like the old time firefighter’s bucket!! It hasa leather lid with an awesome brass EAGLE handle. This vintage item was made in the 1960sby Cairns & Brothers, maker of firefighter’s helmets! It is completely coveredwith quality thick sturdy top grain steer hide. The color is a rare deep red (almostall others I’ve seen are brown). A strong handle is attached with brasshardware. The front ...of the bucket is decorated with a fire engine named“papeete”. I have seen other buckets similar to this. One is attributed to Loyal, however, Loyal ice buckets like this come with a wooden lid and plastic insert.The LID IS LEATHER COVERED and it has a high quality METAL REMOVABLE INSERTwith real insulation encompassing the insert. The only negative things arethere are a few significant scuff marks (all pictured) and the words on the label on theunderside that would say “Cairns & Brothers INC” is only visible on the verytop. So, I have included pictures of what a Cairns & Brothers label looks like with the full name visible so you can compare to this one and see thatit is a Cairns & Brothers. Truly a rare color and high quality ice bucket foruse, a cool decoration, or a collectible!
