Guaranteed to be original and as described - - Antique 19th Century American redware pottery jar with green and spotted orange color glaze. The jug is circa the 1830's-1840's and is a superb example due to the shape and rare glaze. Please excuse the glare from the light and camera .....SIZE: 8 1/2 inches high by 5 1/4 inches wide...CONDITION: The condition is very good for its age. There are no damage related cracks or repairs. There is a chip... on the lip of the jug which is shown in the eleventh photo. On the right side of the lip .. there is a OLD worn down slight chip. There is a shallow firing line behind the handle shown in the last photo. This was done in the making when the jug was fired. There are a few small chips on the base edge. There is crazing and scratches which is to be expected from age. This is a fantastic example of 19th century American Redware pottery....(SEE PHOTO'S)....
