Well here is a great piece of textile love and caring from quite a while back. This quilt was assembled using the 'Block' Style, where single pattern blocks are pieced and stitched together and then those individual Blocks are sewn together to create the Quilt Top and then a layer of batting is sandwiched between the back and the top. Lots and lots of hours of hand work and cutting and planning and caring and you have what you see in the photographs. It still amazes us with every Hand ...Stitched piece like this one we see. It is just not the same as when a Quilt is done on a machine, no matter what anyone tries to tell you or how visually pleasing the item may be, a quilt made by hand is an instant heirloom, especially when the stitches are tight and small and uniform in spacing size. This quilt is Large and Measures: 107" Long by 90" Wide and was photographed on a Standard Queen sized bed and you can see the side overhang. This piece will comfortably fit a Standard King. By the way, the pattern is unknown to us and we cannot find an example of it anywhere. The pattern is older and even is done using a matching binding around the edges, which you hardly ever see nowadays. There are no condition issues to report to you and no foul odors to report to you either. This is just a wonderful old piece, that still fits into todays world comfortably.
