For your consideration is a rare numbered 148/252 early Matthews & Willard banquet lamp with a pat date of 1888. This lamp has a very unusual shade with very nicely done hand painted flowers with gold gilded accents. As seen in photos, the gold paint does have some wear and fading. The flowers are in good condition as is the glass which does not have any chips, cracks or flea bites on the 8” fitter rim.Measurements: The lamp measures 20” in height including the chimney; 18” f...rom the top of the heat ring to the base; the shade is 7” in height and 9” diameter. The base is 10 3/4” from the ring to base; 6 1/2” from the bottom of the font to the base and is also 9” diameter. The photos with the black background were taken outside in natural daylight.The inside of the top shade is hand numbered 148/282. The bottom of the lamp is stamped MW 148. The burner is a Edward Miller Duplex which has ben cleaned and is in working order including the snuffer. The font is not a removable drop in but secured at the base and is solid with zero cracks or chips; the heat ring does have split in the soldering. The brass is intact and does not have any splits, cracks or dents.This is a very nice unique lamp and would make a wonderful addition to any collection. This lamp with only be sent priority mail with insurance and signature required. There is a very conservative reserve on this lamp due to its rarity and being hand numbered with a quantity less than 300. Please review and enhance the photos as they are part of the description. Returns: We offer a no hassle 30 day on all of our items. We do ask that you contact us prior to requesting a return so we can anticipate the items arrival and provide you with a return shipping label. The item must be returned to our store in the same condition it was received in. Your refund will be processed within 48 hours of our store receiving the item and condition is evaluated.
Received Damaged items: In the rare event your item is damaged during shipping (we pack well but accidents during transport do happen) we require the buyer to send photos of the damaged item, shipping box, and shipping label. This is required so we can submit an insurance claim to the shipping carrier as all of our items are sent 100% insured and photos are requirement of USPS and FedEx. Your refund will be processed as soon as we have the claim filed with the carrier (within 48 hours).
International Returns: The above rules are also applicable in addition to we will deduct any applicable import fees for returned items from the refund amount.
