Here is a Huge 5 Finial Traditional Fusee Congreve Clock. The clock measurements are 19 x 16 1/2 inches. Look at the next largest model available which is our standard size model, and there is a striking difference in the two clocks' size. This is one clock which will get the admirer's attention from anywhere in the room. It has a nice large 3 piece set of porcelain dials showing the hours, minutes and seconds on the dials. The center dial is the minute dial with is 3 1/4 inches in diameter, with the right seconds and the left hour dials 2 inches in diameter. It functions as William Congreve developed it to have a ball bearing roll back and forth from front to back, and work its way from one side to the other. When it reaches the end of the table, it hits a lever which switches the whole table to the opposite direction, and the ball starts rolling again. The actual timing of the clock is determined by the speed of the ball rolling on the table from one side to the other. This clock has a fusee driven movement which you wind with its own special clock key. The clock is solid brass with nice finish. A similar model of this congreve clock sells for$14, 500 in the UK. This clock has its solid wooden base, and special front door matching brass/glass dome to open and wind it, without taking the dome off the clock.
