Vintage Shakespeare Wondered UL Spin Fishing Rod B-621UL 5'0"
This is a two piece vintage Shakespeare Wonderod Ultra Light spin fishing rod. Model B-621UL. Rod is 5'0" in length. EGE signifies that the rod was manufactured in June 1964. From Shakespeare's Professional Series rod has an 8 3/4" specie cork grip with two maroon anodized aluminum sliding rings. Black winding check and stainless steel hookeeper are both additions to the rod. Stainless steel standard lead spinning g...uide and Carboloy tip top are original to the rod. The three Aetna stainless steel foul proof guides are " new/old" stock. Maroon anodized Swiss style ferrules. Blade is Wonderod white with maroon vintage Gudebrod nylon guide winds extended. Rod is finished with vintage Gudebrod Glass Rod Finish. Specie cork has been cleaned and reconditioned. Ferrule was inexplicably jammed. Female portion was removed, reinforced with a fiberglass plug and reset. It now functions normally but has experienced some anodized color loss. Comes with a single compartment clear plastic rod bag and a brown fiber rod storage tube.
