Fantastic lot of 3 letters written to New York Mets players and coaches during the 1969 World Series. These were recently purchased from the elderly gentleman that wrote them in 1969 as a high school kid! What makes this lot of 3 so special is letter sent to Nolan Ryan that he autographed and sent back. Not only were these letters written during the amazin' Mets world series games, this was very early in Nolan's career of 27 seasons and would be his only time ever playing in the world ...series! There are alot of Nolan Ryan autographed items out there but very few can be dated to his early career, especially during the Mets surprising world series run! There are 3 total letters included. The most significant being Nolan's which was recently authenticated using PSA/DNA authentication. The other 2 have not been authenticated but are guaranteed 100 percent genuine! They are also individual letters wrotten to Ron Swaboda and Gus Mauch. Each were returned autographed just like the Ryan letter! The writer of these letters told me he wrote the whole team 8n afternoons after school but these were the only 3 to respond! These are very neat also as they were written and mailed during the 1969 World Series. You will be hard pressed to find one, let alone 3 letters signed by what would bwcome the eventual world series champs. Nolan went on to have an amazing hall of fame career and still holds several records including most strikeouts ever by a pircher.
