I am the originalowner, 1961. I like to save things, but it is now time to part with some memories.
They say thefirst thing that goes with a ball player is his legs, with a horn player it hislips. I just played the scale on the horn to prove it. This is aused Trumpet. It is missing some lacquer.I do not see any dents. Its valves and slides are in working condition. Please seethe pictures!
I... think itwould be a good horn for a beginner or someone who collects horns. Personally Iwould prefer a young person who wants a chance to attempt a dream. The extrasare some valve oil, an old mute, some Christmas music and my high school songbook with college songs. (those bring back memories).
If you haveany question or desire add’l pictures, please contact me.
From another individual:
Here's a summation of what I have found so far:
The Pegasus design was trademarked by Maxell Meyers of San Antonio, Tx in 1947 with claim of usage to Nov 1945.
Maxwell Meyers took over the Targ & Dinner location in 1945.
in 1969 Pickwick International takes over both Targ & Dinner and subsidiary Maxwell Meyers. Becomes a part of Musical Instrument Division along with Barth-Feinberg a 1967 acquisition.
In the 1970's Targ & Dinner took over the Martin Busine name from Maxwell Meyers. This is based on a report discussing Jean Cartier instruments and not confirmed by a primary source. However, Jean Cartier was also a trademark of Maxwell Meyers from 1951, with claim to 1946.
Maxwell Meyers corporate registration listed as inactive in 1971.
So far all instruments appear to be all stencils of imports.
