This is a very nice and RARE first flight cover signed by thechief test pilot Lew Nelson. Nelson alsoflew the first flights of the YT-38 and N-156F (F-5A). This was a contender with Fairchild Republic (YA-10) for aclose support aircraft, for the US Air Force “Attack Experimental” program(A-X). Northrop lost out to the A-10. This cover comes with a typewritten note to someone from LewNelson.
