Didn't get what you wanted for CHRISTMAS?? Take back that tie or old sweater...get your money back...& buy this Erector Set!! This is a rare 1948 GIANT set with the full tray. (next year they were cut in half) Gilbert made the GIANT set for only 4 years. They differ greatly from the later 50's model of the robot sets. The Giant's POWER comes from a P-55 motor made only for this set! It is powered from a transformer just like an electric train. Gilbert designed this motor from... a locomotive American Flyer motor. Moves back & forth with a push of a button. Parts are nice, clean, & straight. The cardboard inserts are repros.Screwdriver is rerpo also. Correct manual with the fold out WALKING GIANT MODEL. It is very good shape. This set has LOTS of parts & they ALL are with the set. Set box has a few scratches from being stored for over 70 years. It's a very heavy set so shipping & insurance are a little more than usual. This is that set that ALL the BABY BOOMERS wanted, but dad would not pay the price...It was 50 bucks in 1948!!
