For auction is a 19c French gilt metal[spelter] clock dating to C1880. The 8 day movement stamped on the back plate for "Japy Freres" . It strikes the half and full hours on a bell and is in full working order. The subject is very nice with a young lady lying recumbent on a cart[ the dial is the wheel] with a scythe in her hand and cut wheat in the cart. The gilding is original and still in good order but there is a small area that has a little discolouration of Verdigris. Standing 15 ...inches high[38cm] x 17 ins wide [43cm] x 6 ins deep[15cm].
