RARE KEEN KUTTER No.KK 140 RABBET & BLOCK PLANE c.1906Rare and hard to find Keen Kutter KK140 rabbet plane made by Ohio Tool Co. for Simmons Hardware Company from 1906 to 1912, and is nearly identical to the Ohio No.0140 except for length. This one has 99% of its milky Black Japanning. Its 4-5/8 inch long iron has the standard Keen Kutter trademark stamp and 7/8 inch of working blade remaining. It has a unique frog lever with both nibs intact. Knob has no scratches or toolbox dings... and all its original Lacquer finish. Correct lever cap with 1/8 inch cross hatching on the face. Bottom is smooth with some minor stain. Alvin Sellens valued the KK140 at $250 to $400 in his value guide KEEN KUTTER PLANES.
