I'm sure if you're looking at this auction then you're most likely familiar with it. It's a nice KENWOOD KGC-7043 Graphic EQ. These suckers can definitely impress an...d enhance any existing car audio set up. If you are a KENWOOD fanatic or collector and already have or have had the KGC-4042A, KGC-6042A or KGC-9044 then you sure will love this KGC-7043, especially if you're a sucker for bouncing lights like I am. These were built back in Japan when quality and endurance mattered and things were built to last not like the cheap Chinese stuff that sells these days. EQ is in really good physical/cosmetic condition considering its age (just a little dusty) and comes as pictured with the original power harness and chassis cage. Most of the lettering on the unit is nice and legible. I buy/sell/trade/collect car audio and this EQcame from a gentleman who had it in a Monte Carlo for years till it died. He said it didn't smoke or smell like burnt. It just didn't want to power up anymore and that is the reason why I've listed it as "For parts or not working". As you can see in the pictures the background illumination comes on but it won't power up. Old school KENWOOD car audio equipment has always been top notch. Many of us back in the day drooled over this stuff since it was highly priced and many of us just simply couldn't afford it. KENWOOD always made excellent SQ equipment. So here's your chance to score and get this one for dirt cheap. I'm sure it's a simple fix. I don't know how to repair so why even bother to open it up and end up breaking something else. IMO definitely well worth repairing as these units are known for producing excellent SQ and they are getting pretty hard to come by as they are pretty rare (look around to see how many you can find that are for sale)..
