This listing is for an antique early 20th-century Chinese porcelain stoneware figurine.
It is beautifully modelled as a Chinese philosopher seated on a rock holding a bowl or ink stone. He has a long flowing beard, sideburns and is wearing a lovely green glazed robe. He also has nice bisque fired hand painted facial features.
The underside is hand pressed and picked to allow for the air expansion during firing.
It is in good condition with no damage or signs of ...wear.
