What a precious little pair we have here! In the spotlight for your bidding consideration is this pair of antique German bisque snowbaby dolls that look adorable together! Here we have a Hertwig boy made from all bisque, that is wire jointed at the shoulders only. This boy dressed in molded winter clothes measures 4 1/4” tall, though this mold was made in a wide variety of sizes. There are quite a bit of well defined details in his modeling, including the texture of of his sweater an...d matching cap, as well as in the blonde curls framing his delicately painted face. Also note the subtle shading in his gray knickers and those wonderfully textured gaiters. The miniature antique bisque snowbaby he comes with is stamped Germany on the bottom. This wee one measures a mere inch and a quarter high. He wears a pebble textured snowsuit made from tiny bits of ground porcelain that were fired on. His little face has a healthy glow, with the cheek color heightened by the cold winter air. These dolls look great in your wintry seasonal vignettes and Christmas decorating schemes!
