The TERA RARE Afro-Cuban MONSTER Latin soul jazz funk 45 by FRANK FERRER!!Tracks are as follows:ALELUYAH (HALLELUJAH)EL TEMA DE JUAN (JOHNNY'S THEME)1974 promo release on ALHAMBRA... RECORDS (MO-167 -- SANTURCE, PUERTO RICO).VINYL: For the ALELUYAH side, the vinyl is visually VG+ (shiny wax but with around 12 or so surface scratchings/scuff lines and one or two more general scuffings -- these 12 or so scratchings/scuff lines run more or less parallel with the grooves -- most of these scratchings/scuff lines are thin -- some of them are wider and some are long -- none of the scratchings/scuff lines and the few general scuffings appear to affect the audio as ALELUYAH plays INCREDIBLY AWESOME -- NO pops, NO clicks, and NO loud background noise -- maybe just the faintest of barely detectable surface noise at the beginning of the song's quiet intro -- just a smooth TERRIFIC player which probably plays on par to or better than any brand new cheap reissue copy -- if it were NOT for the scuff lines/scuffings which seem out of place considering how clean the wax is otherwise, the vinyl would visually be in top condition as well). For the EL TEMA DE JUAN side, the vinyl is visually a super strong EXCELLENT (again, shiny wax with just a hint of some faint thin surface hairlines here and there -- the track plays AWESOME as well -- a few very light ticks were heard in the quieter parts -- NO pops, NO clicks, and NO loud background noise). In summary, aside from the scratchings/scuffings most likely caused by some clumsy music magazine record reviewer or radio station employee, this disc has seen very little play since it was given out as a promo in 1974 -- and the same oaf who needle-whacked it in 1974 also wrote an X on the best side.
LABELS: SEE PHOTOS (labels with some rub wear/ring wear and some very small nick-type areas of label peeling here and there -- also, a promo stamp and an X written in marker on the ALELUYAH side).
