Vintage Peanut Candy Weigh Scale (2 lb limit)
This scale came out of a vintage Planters Peanut Store
How many remember the Planter Peanut Stores where they had the roaster roasting fresh peanuts? That is where this came out of and I have had it setting on avintage meat block in my summer kitchen for decades.
It works.How thi...s works is the cross weight is on the slide bar.It has at the topWeight, 5 cent, 10 cents, 15 cents, 20 cents, 25 cents, 30 cents, 40 cents, 50 cents and 60 centpricing designed lines.You put the candy in candy holder, put the bar at the weight the buyers wanted.. lets say 1/2 lb peanutsand when it leveled out it was right on. Then you go across the pricing lines to find what to charge.
This is complete and original. The only thing is the thin wire line on the weight scale/pricing weight needs to be tightened. Not adverse, just saying is all. Original copy type paint etc.
The page with the weights and pricing under the pricing slide weight and such needs to be cleaned. i never tried as I was not sure how to do it. i thought it looked great as it was as it shows its original state.

Please remember that Vintage and Antique items will show some wear, blemishes, and imperfections that they have acquired though the years. Old magazines, books, publications, booklets and manuals may come with wear, age spots & page discoloration. Some may have a slight age or other odor from aging. It's a natural process. I collect or have collected many Vintage items over the years and I personally feel this adds to their character, charm and shows that the background and history of the pieces as being authentically old and thus making them more in demand, collectable and desirable to those that enjoy and/or collect them. Remember that even a vintage item in really good condition is old and it may not function as well as when it was originally made. Plastic type and other items can change color and/or weaken over time because of light, pollutants, heat, humidity and other items in the air. So if you intend on using a Vintage item, please be aware of this, and be careful. We can not control how you use them. They may be more subject to breaking just because of the fact they are old. Yet other items were made better back then, then similar items made today, so you alone have to make your decision to buy and item or not.
