Vintage SANYO M-9990 Stereo Boombox As Is For Parts - Radio Works
This is in good cosmetic condition for the most part.
There are some good and some bad - please review pictures and read description.
The radio worksSpeakers both work good Cosmetics are in good shape.
Observed issues.1. Antenna is brokenVolume is scratchy when adjusting - needs to be cleaned?Clock does not work - I could not figure out how to get clock to work - it may be broken....The light only works when you press button - the button does not stay depressed - not sure if this is how it normally functions - just thought id mention it.
The cassette player does not fully function.
It starts to play and stops. It ate a tape I had.The ff and rev also do the same thing - it starts slowly and then stops.Even without a cassette inserted it stops after a few seconds. I can see the wheel spin but with a tape it just doesn't work.
There is also minor scratches and such throughout. It is not perfect.
There is some residue from some tape on the side as well. See pictures.
this is what i observed while testing the unit. There may be other things that have issues.
This is being offered as is and for parts.
If you repair this kind of stuff or feel that you can fix it - awesome because this might be the unit for you.
