Caterpillar Tractor Roads, Canals: 1938, RARE bookVery rare 1938 Caterpillar Book entitled: “Roads, Canals, and Embankments with Caterpillar Equipment”: 182 pages, full of pictures of vintage equipment at work around the world performing all the work as described in the title. As far as I know this has never been on e-bay. Soft sided, published by Caterpillar IL and is profusely illustrated with pictures of very vintage Cat tractors, bulldozers, Auto Patrol graders and so much more... at work around the world performing the functions as described in the title. This was written by one of Cat’s top civil engineers of the time, F.A. Nikirk. Along with all the great pictures and descriptions are diagrams and artwork showing how to make grade, carve ditches, embankments and canals and so more. This is a very rare find indeed, measures 6” x 9”. Contents are very good, spine is tight and clean, tight contents, this is a must for any civil engineer or any Caterpillar or bulldozer or heavy equipment shop or collector. Great Caterpillar item and a must for any Peoria, IL, or Cat collector or heavy equipment collector in general. From smoke and pet free home.
