~1950s, nice condition - no abuse....
Vintage 8" MEXICAN BOWIE w/Full Aluminum Handguard Handle agave +volcano + snakehead handguard...features:
**unusual etched blade design w/ agave & volcanoes, back side etched MEXICO....
**steer horn inserts in aluminum grip, inlaid & secured by a heavy rivet...
**very nicely made 8" thick, handground blade...
**heavy cast aluminum very unusual full handguard handle formed by snake biting its tail.... handguard ope...ning is about 3 3/4" - fits my big hand fine...
the original sheath is of sturdy leather - it needs to be oiled & the backs of most of the rivets need to be replaced...- its interesting how the sheath follows the curvature of the butt....
