WELCOME Thisoffer is for a Vintage Roseville Pottery Company brown WaterLily vase with handles, model number #73-6. It is marked on the bottom and made inthe 1940’s. The colors are bright and sharp. It features a textured backgroundwith a large pink raised embossed open water lily flower on eachside against a mass of delicat...ely sculpted green lily pads. One side additionallyfeatures a closed blossom. It has adarker brown color on the bottom of the vase and gradually turns to a lighter reddish brown color progressing up to the top of thevase.It measures: 2-5/8"diameter base by 3 " diameter opening on top by 6 1/4" tall. Itis marked on the bottom with incised lettering ~ “Roseville, 73-6". Italso has an artist mark. The mold is very crisp and sharp indicatingthat this must have been one of the earlier pots made as the mold was not worndown from production. Itis listed in The Collector’s Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery by Sharon andBob Huxford-First Series on pages 114-115.The vase is in excellentcondition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage. No grazingevident. There is a glaze miss on one of the handles andanother small one near one of the leaves, which I tried to capture in thepictures. They do not detract from the vase at all. Please refer to enlargementsof the photos provided for a closer inspection and look. Itis very clean, having veryfew of the usual characteristics of vintage pottery such as a few roughspots and manufacturing imperfections like glaze pops, glaze misses and pin holes, causedduring firing ~ normal and very common to this type ofpottery. Makesure to review, enlarge and zoom each image for a careful close up of condition, color and size of this item as the photos are part of theitem description.
