Oval Mirror.
18th Century design attributed to Robert Adam.
47" high.
25" wide.The oval part of this mirror is 30 3/4"H x 25 5/8"W and theornate decoration extends upwards 10 3/4" and below 5".The mirror is in close to new condition..and I believe a bit nicer than the new production.
Color is a pale yellow gold metal leaf (which is it's
standard finish).
A fantasticly decorative Looking Glass of nice size, per...fect for the Period House..
they also made custom sized versions of these, we once had a small one as well.
Suggested retail of this mirror is $3250 and sells through the Historic Charleston
Foundation for $2600 and at the very least near $2000 at a few places.

Background:
A superb reproduction of this delicate detailed design by Robert Adam and was inspired by
the original in Ashley Hall School.The oval frame is decorated top and bottom
with classical gesso ornaments affixed to artistic wirework shaping.
The bottom features a finial center drop with swag and drape.
The top has a center Urn and from the ears a series of decorative scrolls.
Wood Frames and traditional 18th Century craftsmanship.
A Historic Charelston Licenced product.
Handmade in USA in a manner similar to that of the original.
