What you see here and for your consideration is this rare, ceramic piece of restaurant merchant advertising memorabilia in the form of this Coon Chicken Inn figurine. This hand painted figurine is hollow with a glazed finish and as you can tell has the hand written, Coon Chicken Inn, in gold paint on the back of the Maitre d`s blue jacket (see photo's). This original ceramic figurine from the 1925-50's is quite rare and is very seldom seen for sale, not mention it's a very... hard to find piece of restaurant memorabilia. Salt Lack City, had the first of the 3 restaurants in 1925, followed by Lake City, Washington then Portland, Oregon. The condition on this rare vintage piece of Black Americana, shows as a Very Good Plus and has no chips or cracks yet, does show some crazing throughout most of the surface areas (see photo's). The crazing is the only visible issue on this figurine, other than that it should view as a collectible in Excellent condition. The measurements are as follows: Height is 4 5/8" x Length at the shoulders is 1 3/4" x Width is 2".
