For your consideration is a 16S, 15J Model 4 Grade 83 Doctor's Elgin Pocket Watch. Estimated production year is 1880. Watch is lever set and pendant wind.
Watch is in working condition.The Dial has little to no issues as seen in the photos. Overall the Dial faces up very well.The Hands are nicely blued. The crystal has very small surface scratches like a crystal of a wrist watch gets with wear. The Movement is a nice gilt as seen in the photos. Overall Production for thi...s Movement/Watch is ONLY 3, 2000. Serial number is 627833.The Hunter Case is 18K Gold and weighs a total of about 117 grams. The Case appears to be original to the movement. The Front Cover opens and closes as it should. Front Cover opens to about 92 degrees. Back Cover opens to 90 degrees. Dust Cover opens to about 89 degrees. Case has wear with light surface scratches. Back Cover has a small dent toward top. Edges have small dents that do not interfere with opening watch.I am a private collector who will be listing a large number of really nice pocket watches in the next several weeks.
