1967 BMW R60/2
Numbers matching38xxx miles on odometer2 owner bike since new.Unrestored, survivor or "daily rider" type of machine.Large 6.5 gallon fuel tank model with original locking cap w/keyEarles fork modelRARE factory BMW enduro bags (locking w/original key for locks).100% Orig...inal paint/patina/small touches.Chips, scratches, dings and small rusty spots but looks marvelous just the way it is in my opinion!
Rear seat is not original. No idea what it is off of but easily detaches.
Recently removed from display/storage and freshened up with new pushrod tube seals, plug wires, points set, plugs, valve adjustments, drive shaft boot and intake-carb boots.
Brand new Duro 350-18 tires and tubes.
Starts on 1-2 kicks cold, 1 warm.I rarely have to use the choke.Runs excellent!Smooth idle, QUIET and NO SMOKE.Engine feels STRONG on compression and tight!Rides, handles, stops, shifts and pulls nicely in every gear!!!
Headlight (Hi/Low), gauge light, tail/brake light and turn signals work great! Even the saddlebag lights work with the tail/brake.Every light works except the small green (N) light.Horn beeps.
Mechanically this bike is VERY solid.Cosmetically NOT perfect but has wonderful, original paint curb appeal.Chrome on rims and handlebars is pitted and rusty in a few places.
This is a fantastic R60/2 for the enthusiast who appreciates a dependable "rider" and not a 100% full restoration.
Bike ALWAYS gets praise.
Insured through Hagerty and value appraised at a solid #4 (Fair) @ $15k.
Selling out of a private collection for a dear friend who recently past and was a BMW enthusiast. He was mechanically meticulous so I have no doubt this bike is solid.
I am NOT an authority on these bikes so PLEASE keep that in mind when asking questions. I will do my very best to answer them.
Priced extremely fair and FIRM for an original R60/2 in this condition with these options.
An original set of BMW enduro bags recently sold on here, missing keys and NOT nearly as nice as these for $1, 599.00 alone.
Clear and clean Indiana title in hand.
See my feedback for references.
Nothing to hide
Cheers
