This is Classic Detroit Rolling Stock at its best...The 1955 Series 62 is considered the fourth generation of this bloodline...The body was lower and sleeker--the front grille styling was updated--round jet style dual exhaust outlets were incorporated in the vertical bumper extensions...
The Car is fresh out of storage and with a new battery the V-8 fired up without a problem...The engine ran out strong and the Hydra-Matic-Trans shifted smooth...Acceleration w...as not an issue--either were steering and brakes...Tires are good and overall it seems to be a nice-tight-driver...The car cruised at 55 mph very comfortably...
The Dual Factory Air does work but does not blow cold..Drivers side window is cracked...Headlight switch is broken but a new switch is included...Odometer does not work...Lights work except for the rear left turn signal...
Restoration was cosmetic and done years ago...The body is solid...Paint is showing some age and does have some flaws but overall presentable...Trim and chrome are good...Undercarriage is clean...Interior is original and does have normal age wear...The pictures show that this is not a perfect car but a more than presentable driver to be enjoyed...This car would also be a good candidate for upgrade to full restoration...
