RARE COLLECTIBLE DEAD ACCURATE STRONG RUNNING COLUMBUS "RAILWAY KING" MODEL 18 SIZE 16 JEWELS ADJUSTED 2-TONE MODEL 1 RAILROAD GRADE MOVEMENT HOLDING RAILROAD TIME!!!Serial Number: 349617. "Railway King" model, 18 size, open face, 16 jewels, adjusted, Model 1, Grade Railway King 2-tone, huge cupped gold jewel settings, large all-gol...d balance screws, full two-tone nickel plate, stem wind, lever set railroad grade movement. This scarce and collectible (isn't even found in the online data base) Railway King movement is in superior working order, with a dead flat and true balance wheel motion that has a fine, wide arc and strong, steady beat. The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up on my 4th wind with no jiggling, and lever sets as designed. The movement holds time well within 30 seconds per week face-up after a long time spent in careful and prolonged hand-regulating before dis-assembly! Appearance-wise this movement is looking great, with sparkling bright and clean full nickel plates with the two-tone flashing still very clear and almost all of the delicate original black inlaid engraving paint intact, clean and correct early screw micrometer regulator needle, index and whip, near spotless looking down inside, around the sides and in front, and ripping and running holding railroad time!! The movement does show very minor and ordinary wear with no signs of abuse! It will be a great acquisition for the lucky top bidder!
