Original Description:
I purchased this bike a few months ago from the son-in-law of the previous owner.  It had been sitting for ten plus years, but had been well protected from the weather and was in surprisingly good shape considering it is 48 years old.  The paint on the tank is faded and has some minor dings, especially on the top. The exhaust is in very good condition with the usual small dings and acid stains.  The seller told me the carbs and petcocks leaked as well as one of the ...shocks, so these have all been replaced.  I put on 26mm Mikunis from Rocky Point Cycle, including new fuel line and cables, at a cost of around $450.  The original carbs and Everbest petcocks are for sale here on eBay as well, but can be included with the bike if so desired.  The shocks have been replaced with Hagons from Capital Cycle.  The seat had a tear at the front and has had a new cover installed.  There is no tool tray or tool kit.  There are no turn signals.  I replaced the handlebars with black S-type low bars.  The tachometer works as well as the odometer, but the speedo does not. It looks like something fell on the speedometer at some point as the chrome ring around the glass has some dents, but I don't think this has anything to do with the speedo not working.  There are two plugs per cylinder and the old non-functioning Accel ignition, coils, and wires have been replaced by a new Dyna III system.  This was done by Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA at a cost of over $950.  All fluids and filters have been replaced.  The tires have been renewed and have good tread.  The front brake shoes and cable have been replaced as well as the clutch cable. It has a current Virginia inspection good until August, 2020.  Clear title.  I have put about 500 miles on it in the past few weeks, and it is an absolute pleasure to ride.  I kind of hate to let it go, but there are too many bikes in the garage and something needs to go.
Ask any and all questions before bidding.  The bike is available for inspection in Charlottesville, Virginia by appointment.
Thanks for looking.
I have uploaded a video to youtube showing me starting up the bike cold and idling.  Here is the link:  https://youtu.be/y7OG2mhQRAQ
