There is a Distinctive Unit Insignia, Victory, patch is on the left pocket. That insignia dates from 1930, when it was approved for Special Troops and the 1st Division. The lady on the patch was inspired by the 1st Division Monument in Washington DC.
The shirt was made thanks to a purchase order issued in 1962. It is a "shirt, man's, cotton sateen, OG 107, Type 1", size small; actual measurements when flat are:
- 21" ...across the chest, pit to pit;
- 22" from collar seam to edge of cuff;
- 18" shoulder to shoulder across the front;
- 27" collar seam to hem along the back.
The OG 107 color is still nice on this shirt, even if it has been washed a few times, no doubt.
