Selling a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville 4 door hardtop sedan. This is a rust free car originally from the South Eastern USA (Georgia I think) and then New York. Car ended up in a private collection in Wisconsin. Mileage is 105, 036. Motor is original and starts easily with no smoke from the tailpipe Transmission is an automatic. Options are power windows, power brakes, power steering, AM radio, black vinyl top (nice), Air condition (not currently working) right sun visor vanity mirror, full ...wheel covers and left side remote control mirror. Two downside items are a short crack in the padded dash near the left side of the steering wheel (pictured) and shrinkage to the vinyl inserts in the side trim(pictured). Tires are Goodyear whitewall Polyglass radials of P225/75R15 size. Tread depth at the minimum is 7/32 inch. Tires are driveable but I would suggest replacement due to their age. I am listing this for a friend and am not the registered owner. A $500 deposit required from the seller to my Paypal immediately aftert he auction ends. This is a great SURVIVOR car for anyone operate on weekends or going to your local car shows.
On Aug-28-19 at 13:20:44 PDT, seller added the following information:The owners mechanic found the shop manual, an air conditioning manual, the owners manual and the Protect O Plate for the car. These go along with the car.
A prior Ebayer asked if the PW, the radio and the climate control were in working condition. The power windows work easily. The climate control buttons do not activate the system and the radio does not function.
We have no problem if one of the bidders wishes to withdraw their bid due to the above deficiencies
On Aug-31-19 at 16:24:46 PDT, seller added the following information:This is the 3rd and last time I am going to try to add this revision that four Ebayers have questions about.
Title is clear and in the owners name.
Package tray is in good condition as is the lower garnish molding.
Previous revision indicated the radio did not work; it does. Tuning knob is stiff to operate but moves the indicator between stations.
I was in error at to the steering column not having the tilt option; it does and is fully functional.
Steering wheel is of the tinted clear plastic. It has shrinkage and cracks but is intact.
Climate control is non-operative. Probably related to a missing fuse on the fuse panel. Missing fuse is the upper left and the left side retainer for the fuse is missing. White lettering on the panel is in poor condition and mostly illegible.
Paint appear to be original except for the hood. Hood probably has been replaced and possibly the nose panel between the grills. AC compressor has the belt missing.
No evidence of accident or body damage to side panels.
Three of the four doors have surface rust where the exterior panel attaches to the inner structure. On Aug-31-19 at 16:41:39 PDT, seller added the following information:Trunk floor is solid with a small perforation of the left rear that has been repaired by the previous owner. Trunk floor covering appears to be the original carpet that is over the top of a new original style vinyl mat.
Spare tire present with the original cover. Original jack under the spare.
Vinyl top to has no shrinkage and is free of bubbling from rust action between the sheet metal rood and the fabric.
Power windows are operational and would benefit from a spray of silicone lubricant to the channels.
Bidder should be aware that we are not selling a concours quality vehicle. We have a decent driver quality automobile that one could use as an every day drive or take it to the car and coffee shows on Saturday. Its a survivor and not perfect. PLACE YOUR BIDS ACCORDINGLY.
Car can easily be driven with minimal repair plus a new set of tires.
