Rare English Made Smiths Pocket Watch & Chain.
High quality English made Cal 600 movement which keeps exellent time. The dial is impeccable with the earlier Smith and not Smiths logo. Very heavy nickel plated brass case with matching chain. Some wear to the plating on the rear of case. The crystal looks to be original and is scratch free. This watch must not be confused with the lesser quality, made in Great Britain (Welsh made) Empire watches. These watches were developed and m...anufactured in Smiths Cheltenham factory with the help of government sponsored military grants. Hence these time pieces share the same DNA as the war time GSTM 6E/50.
