1980 Chrysler Yorker
Item History & Price
Probably one of the finest R body Chryslers left. This beautiful Fifth Avenue has only 14, xxx miles. Runs and drives like a new car. Even the A/C still works (appears to have been converted). The original paint is stunning, its the one year only Black Walnut Metallic with the Champagne leather interior. Even the alligator grain roof is immaculate. One scuff mark in the read side bumper cover. Car has almost every option, including the Triad ho...rn and sure grip rear end. The interior is perfect, the rear inboard seat belts are still wrapped in the factory plastic. The only things that do not work are the power antenna (but the 8-track and speakers work fine), the windshield wipers (linkage), and the driver's power lock. All easy, but I never drove it in the rain, so never bothered. All dash lights were changed to LED bulbs so it lights beautifully, as does the unique quarter windows. No rust, the car was rustproofed too.
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like specific pictures. Also, check out my other listing, of a really nice 76 Cordoba.
Thanks
Some people have asked about the undercarriage...it's as clean as the top side, but I added a couple of pics.
I forgot to mention this car does not have the LeanBurn engine control. It has factory electronic ignition. Upon researching, it seems that in 1980 Chrysler was mixing and matching engine requirements just to get cars out (this was right around the time of the Federal Loan bailout, and the arrival of Lee Iacocca). The Lean Burn Air cleaner along with the spark computer and wiring is there but was never connected.
