09 Ford E-350 XLT TYPE II STAR OF LIFE Ambulance. We purchased this unit from a local municipality where it was extremely well taken care of and garage kept since new. This unit was not retired for any defect , it was simply retired due to the townships policy of replacing emergency vehicles every 10 years regardless of condition or mileage. This township like most keeps their vehicles on a strict preventative maintenance egimen and vehicles are brought in forInspecti...on at least once every 30 days. Also after every use the driver has to complete a condition check list and give a brief condition report. Their vehicles are always serviced on time , oil is always changed every 3 months or 3k miles whichever comes first. They are never run low on fuel becuase the people driving them don't pay for fuel. And most of them and this particular one as well was stored indoors since new. That is why this Ambulance is basically 100% rot and rust free. Becuase this vehicle was used to transport people to and from one institution to another , it was never beat on and was lightly used . Thecircumstances have enabled this Ford to stay in excellent shape throughout its previous service and remain Rock solid to this day. This rig has just 124k miles and Is powered by a 2009 model year 6.0 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel engine. Yes, the newer 6.4 engines were too large for the econoline platform. 2008 year and up 6.0 has upgraded head studs and is a lot more reliable. With that being said when you buy a post 2007 E series diesel, your getting one that does not come with the typical headaches that came with the earlier models of that engine. This vehicle has only 124k Miles and itl runs fine and wouldn't have made it this far if it were junk. Most medic units we get usually come with at least 200k miles. This is an exception to the norm and with 124k (low miles) you can expect years and years out of this unit I?ve sold plenty of late model 6.0's with 3-600k that still ran great so if you continue to change your oil and treat the vehicle right it may last a life time. These things run better then some low milage units because they were fleet maintenanced and they were checked and tended to every 30 days. Let me get into a more specific description of this particular rig. The engine starts right up with a quick half turn of the key , even in the cold. The engine runs smooth and sound and does not make any odd noises or blow any excessive smoke out of the exhaust. The transmission shifts smooth and on the mark without any banging or hesitation. You can cycle the gear shifter and the vehicle goes from park to reverse and drive nice and smooth with no banging or clunking. This unit drives nice and straight down the road and does not drift to either side even when traveling at higher speeds. There is no cracked glass and no warning lights or check engine lights on the dash. All (4) Tires are in good usable condition but not brand new. The brakes work rear and don?t squeak or grind. . To sum I can honestly say I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability and I stake my 10 years of solid feedback on all my descriptions. That being said , we do still recommend that potential buyers inspect the van BEFORE buying. If you are out of state , we will go out of our way to send you extra pictures and even videos of the ambulance starting/ running and driving upon request. There are also 3rd party inspection companies in the area that will inspect the vehicle for you and give you a unbiased full report card at your own expense. l am simply letting you know those types of services are available. Even though this is one of the cleanest and nicest buses I've had in awhile, it is still 9 years old and does have a tiny amount of use and wear, don't expect a brand new unit and we won't have any problems.g Ford is absolutely amazing and it's next owner will definitely not be disappointed. If you really like this unit I suggest buying it now. These vehicles when they are this clean never make it more then a day or two before being sold. If the vehicle does not sell after a few days I may decide to accept a reasonable offer but like I said they usually sell quick and this one is a lot nicer then some of the recent ones we've had for sale. If your going to buy it now or make an offer please have the funds already available and please leave the required deposit within 24 hours. I have been buying and selling for over 10 years on eBay and have been able to maintain a very solid feedback the whole time. Unfortunately for us good eBay sellers, most happy customers do not leave feedback so keeping good feedback is certainly an achievement. I do my best to honestly describe each vehicle. Because of age This vehicle is sold AS-IS and deposits are non-refundable. Over the years I have found that a few simple rules and policies can save my self from wasting time with fake buyers who bid for entertainment purposes only. The bus is available to be seen pretty much 7 days a week upon appointment and again for out of state buyers I can take as many additional pictures as requested and I can also provide a video of the vehicle starting and running/ Driving . I do not have any policies that any other legitimate auction site has. Again if you buy it now or I decide to take an offer please be prepared to leave the deposit and follow thru with the deal. No low balling please do a little research and a one owner clean Shuttle Bus in this shape is worth this kind of money , most of the other shuttles are 20k plus$$$ nobody is unhyiip it's a life long investment. There is no such thing as buying and then coming to "look" at it. If you want to look please do that before purchasing.
