M.J. Tobias Pocket Watch!!
Up for auction is a very nice M.J. Tobias pocket watch with 13 1/4" silver chain that is hallmarked and with a very cool winding and setting key.
The watch is in a 55 mm silver case. The movement cover is made of brass and is marked: No 5130 Detached Lever 13 Jewels M J Tobias & Co LIVERPOOL.
The dial is not marked with a brand. The dial is in good condition, there are some hairlines (3) in the finish, but no chip...s-remember this watch was made in the mid 1800s see photos.
The movement currently winds/sets/runs properly. We do not know the service history on the watch and recommend it be serviced in order to keep running/keep time.
Any defects visible in photo but not listed in description will be considered described!
This watch is from my 40 year hoard and I have emensly enjoyed it.
