You are bidding on a 1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC. Thiscar is a very nice ALL ORIGINAL 2 OWNER Car that has not been restored, repainted or in any accidents. This Beautiful example of top quality Germanengineering has just over 89k original miles!! It retains it originalGREEN BLUE POLY Base/Clear paint that has a few minor flaws as would beexpected of an original car of this vintage but shines as if it just rolled offof the showroom floor!! There are no clear coat issues as is often the ...casefrom sun damage as this car has been GARAGE KEPT it’s entire life. Itwas originally special ordered directly from Germany and spent its early lifein California. Then for the past 27 years it was in Ohio and Illinois but havebeen told that it saw no winter driving. This is quite evident by the conditionof the undercarriage as there is no obvious corrosion. This car has always beenowned by a non-smoker and the interior and ash tray are evidence of this asthere is NO smell or discoloration of the interior and headliner and the ashtray is as clean and new as the day it was sold to the first owner. Theinterior is in nice condition, for a 30 year old car, and shows little wearincluding the original floor mats as you can see in the pics. The wood veneersare in great condition and show no fading. It retains its original factorystereo system with cassette tape deck. The engine and drivetrain in this car run and operate assmoothly and powerfully as it did when it left the factory. It has beenproperly maintained and comes with the factory Mercedes Maintenance book thatshows all of the maintenance that has been done on this car since it was brandnew!! Included in this maintenance is the replacement of the timing chainguides with upgraded guides, which is a known issue with these engines, at a$2500 servicing cost and includes a new front engine crankshaft oil seal. Thetransmission has been recently serviced as well as all of the brake systemshave been rebuilt, radiator has been replaced, cooling system completelyflushed and an OEM Mercedes Battery was recently installed. Each time this carwas serviced there was an entry made in the Maintenance Book and was stamped byan authorized Mercedes Benz Service Center or Dealership. The car drives very smoothly and comfortablyand handles like a cat!! Over $4000 has been spent recently, including theabove mentioned engine service, to make sure that there are no issues with thefunction of any of the subsystems onboard. There are (3) original keys and a detailed stamped Maintenance Book thatgo with this car!! This car is ready to drive anywhere and without any worriesor concerns!!
