The drawing, executed in pen, ink and watercolors on 19th century paper, depicts a cityscape of a Dutch town. The church in the background makes it quite easy to identify the location as the town of Haarlem (the Church of Saint Bavo). A man is pulling in his net from the river Spaarn, near the old citygate.
Authorship : the drawing is from the Dutch School.
Period : ca. 1850-1860.

Condition : Fairly good. Some scattered dirt throughout. Sides slightly damaged. Corners : traces of folding. Left side mid : a secured tear. Unframed.
