The drawing, executed in pen, ink, grey wash and watercolors on laid paper, depicts a design for a decoration of a church. The wall decoration shows putti, holding garlands of flowers. The ceiling decoration shows an alegorical subject left and two floating putti central.
Authorship : the drawing is from the French School of the Louis XVI period.
Peri...od : ca. 1770-1780.
Size : 40, 8x27, 1cm.
Condition : Fairly good. Some scattered dirt throughout. Light spots right and below. Laid down on a paper support (framing carboard - partualy loose). Slight traces of wrinkling top and bottom side. Unframed.
