I'm forced to downsize so I have up for auction this excellent WW2 Elgin A-8 Military stopwatch. It's intended use was to time the bombs as they fell to the earth. It has a very quick sweep hand that makes one turn in 10 seconds and a sub-dial that measures up to 10 minutes. The movement is the super high rate "Jitterbug" type that yields very accurate results. It is in very clean and excellent working condition. The crystal, case, bow and wi...nding stem are all in great condition with a few very minor scratches that are not easily seen without magnification. The black dial is just as good as the day it was made. There are faint military/armory markings on the back of the stopwatch. The stopwatch starts, stops and returns to the correct position accurately. All in all it's a very fine example of a highly accurate WW2 military stopwatch. I'm sad to see it go. I'll package it very well and ship it the first business day after receiving payment.
